The course is recommended for those employed or seeking employment in the following industries. Food: cooks, chefs, caterers, servers, restaurant owners, food service supervisors, cafeteria workers, street vendors, bakers, hot dog vendors, stock person. Healthcare: PSW, dietary aide, nurse’s aide, caregiver, daycare, nannies, ECE, ECA and other interested members of the public.

Photo ID is a requirement of Provincial/territorial health authorities. A valid government issued photo ID is required. Your name and photo must be visible to the proctor.

A working built-in or external webcam and microphone are required.

6 hours but you have a total of 30 days including the exam to complete the course. The course modules resume where you left off.

Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be able to automatically download and print your PDF certificate and wallet-size card.

This is required to validate your identify prior to taking the test. All information is confidential and subject to the Privacy Act.

There is no need to schedule your exam. Your online Food Handler exam is available 24/7.

Yes, you can take the test on your mobile phone. If you are using Wi-Fi, ensure the connection is stable.
